Delano Hill Commits to Michigan

Just three days after finally receiving a scholarship offer from Michigan, Delano Hill is a Wolverine.  The Cass Tech star has been committed to Iowa since April but many believed that if Michigan ever came calling, Ann Arbor would be his future home.  Part of the reason for that thought is the free-flowing pipeline from Cass Tech straight into Ann Arbor.  The powerhouse high school will have sent 7 players to Michigan over the past three seasons once Team 134 becomes official.  The latest Technician to become a Wolverine, Hill, might be the least talked about but may blossom into one of the best.  His physical measurements are very impressive for a corner, standing at 6'1" and right around 200 pounds.  Perhaps even more impressive is his 4.44 laser-timed 40 yard dash he turned in during the Nike SPARQ tour.  That kind of speed makes him the fastest player on Cass Tech's team which is littered with D-1 prospects.  The Hill commitment might not get a lot of attention moving forward amidst a class full of talent, but he is a 4-star prospect in his own right and could end up being a diamond in the rough for the coaching staff.

  1. Glad to have him aboard. Was he being looked at as a safety or a corner? Or is it just a wait and see type thing

    1. He played safety in high school but I believe the plan is for him to play corner at Michigan. His coach said he has the hip fluidity to play corner but they thought he'd help them more at safety. Doesn't hurt that the 2 corners were Jourdan Lewis and Damon Webb.

  2. I don't have a source but I read or heard somewhere that Cass Tech is now ranked 17th nationally among high school football programs. That's pretty good.
