2014 Names to Watch: Dallis Todd

Position: Wide Receiver
Ht/Wt:
6'5"/205 lbs.
Location: La Mirada High School - La Mirada, CA
Class: 2014
Offers:  Eastern Washington, Iowa Sate, Louisville, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, New Mexico State, Ohio State, Tennessee

If you want to see some impressive film take a look at the highlight tape of Dallis Todd.  He put together a junior season with 72 catches, 1,041 yds., and 10 TD's on a team that features the #1 tight end in country, Tyler Luatua.  Todd is big, strong, fast, and really knows how to go up and get the football.  I'm really shocked he doesn't have a more impressive offer list given his skill set and physical stature.  Michigan is definitely interested in Todd as evidenced by Coach Ferrigno stopping by his high school today to chat with him.  Of course Coach Ferrigno was also checking in on Luatua, but Todd is a new name that might be on the offer list soon.  Todd is another talented Cali kid that is getting attention from Michigan, but will anything materialize?

The visit: Coach Ferrigno came by and showed a lot of interest.  He said they are going to study my film and will be getting back with me as soon as possible.  Michigan is showing a lot of interest right now.

Playing with Tyler Luatua:  We've talked about it a couple of times.  Tyler and I are both open to any school so Michigan definitely has a chance.

Know about Michigan:  I know the basics.  They have a great coaching staff, great tradition, and fan base.

Feeling Michigan:  If they offer me I'd be excited.  I don't really have rankings right now.  I just decide on what I really like in the school.  I'm willing to go anywhere in the country and play football though.

I think Todd will get an offer during the week of signing day but this is another talented California kid that will be hard to pull away from the west coast and I hate to say it again, but Ohio State has already offered and been in the picture.  If Todd does receive an offer, it will be a tough pull.

  1. CB3 I told you he has game. Because he is a west coast kid I am not getting my hopes up. Until a west coast kid sets foot in A2 I do not believe they are serious about UM. I know this is a little harsh but I am a little sick of west coast kids saying how interested they are in UM and they will take a visit and never do.

    1. Totally agree Jer. Small, small chance to land West Coast kids.

  2. Yah, I'm a little disappointed. LOVE Hoke. Love everything that he has done so far, but I thought with his success in San Diego we might get more respect and consideration from those Cali kids. Hasn't happened yet.

    NEED I SAY MORE?
I believe Wile & Magnuson were All-Americans that hail from California! It's not like we don't get any. If you ask me, Hoke is doing fine! I will agree he needs to get more out of California but the same can be said for any state other than Michigan and Ohio! What about Texas, Florida, and the recruiting hotbed known as SEC territory? I just checked and a majority of the recruits from FLA were Rich Rod recruits and we don't have one player from TX! I don't have a problem with the way Hoke is doing things (sticking to the midwest right now). He needs to rebuild relationship and rebuild the foundation we had in the midwest before branching out nationally. Seems to be working thus far...Two classes in the Top 5! I know that I can't complain with the job he is doing! With that said, I can't say I would hate seeing either one of these kids end up in the Maize & Blue!
