Will Derrick Green Go Blue?

L to R: Jourdan Lewis, Dymonte Thomas, Derrick Green, Jake Butt, Chris Fox
Three weeks ago this picture meant nothing, but today it could mean everything. We all know the situation.  The #1 running back in the nation for 2013, Derrick Green, will make his decision today at 4 p.m. between the Tennessee Volunteers, Auburn Tigers, and our beloved Wolverines.  Experts seem to think he will choose Michigan and Derrick himself has said publicly that Michigan leads.  Yesterday Derrick tweeted that he was going to "shock the world."  No one really knows what he meant by that, but of course it gets everyone talking again.  Michigan seems to be the obvious choice due to coaching stability, style of offense, and chemistry with other commits but nothing is guaranteed and players make puzzling decisions all the time. (see Laquon Treadwell)  Derrick Green will make a large fanbase very happy today, while shattering the dreams of two others with one single sentence.  What do you think will happen?

  1. I say he is all blue. If not then we will get over it just like we did with Garnett.

  4. If you wanna know how a horse will race, look and see how it has raced before. Michigan has been missing out on the big recruits lately, so I have a feeling that Green goes somewhere else. I hope I'm wrong...

  5. This is a HUGE position of need for Michigan. If he loves up to his 5 star status, and I think he will, he will go on to beca very special CFB payer someday. I don't care that Auburn and Tennessee have new coaches. He took the time to get fimiliat with them so he didn't make the wrong decision. That tells me those two schools were probably always in his top 3 and I think at one point Auburn may have been number 1. What I care about is the bond he seems to have formed with others kids that are already a part of team 134. He has expressed that he feels most comfortable with our coaches and/or that coach Hoke has always been his favorite Coach during this process. I think he did the right thing giving himself a lotta time to think about it. At the end of the day I really believe he has decided to go to Michigan. A choice that I believe was an easy one for him to make once he really had time to think about everything.

  8. I have an inside source that says Green told the Michigan coaches 2 weeks ago that he would commit to them. This would explain why the last in home visit was so brief for Michigan and so lengthy for Auburn and Tennessee.
