Upcoming Visitor List

With high school's being out for the summer visits are going to be a little harder to keep track of since they won't be limited to the weekends now.  Several prospects are scheduled to be on campus over the next couple of weeks even though the coaches are going to be quite busy with the beginning stages of the camp circuit.  The Sound Mind Sound Body camp at Southfield High School takes place on June 14th and 15th, and then the Wolverine Technique School follows from June 16th through the 20th.  That being said, high schoolers from all different grade levels will be in Ann Arbor, either as campers or just unofficial visitors.  Here are a few that I have confirmed at this point.

Kalen Ballage - RB - Falcon High School (Falcon, CO) 2014  Ballage is a freak of an athlete at 6'2", 215 lbs. with legit sub 4.4 speed.  He is listed as an athlete by the major recruiting services and could probably play several positions in college, but the Michigan coaches like him as a running back.  Ballage will be visiting Ann Arbor for the first time and plans to just take it all in and check out the campus.  He told me he still has high interest in Michigan but probably won't commit as he wants to wait and continue his recruitment.  On paper, Michigan is the best offer Ballage holds so if this offer goes well, it could really boost the Wolverines standing with him.

Jonathan Hilliman - RB - St. Peter's Preparatory High School (Jersey City, NJ) 2014  Hilliman informed me today that he will be visiting Michigan for the BBQ at The Big House on the weekend of July 28th.  Upon recently returning from his visit to Columbus, he now has the Buckeyes atop his list of favorites.  He told me this, "I'm still keeping an open mind but they are leading."  The BBQ has proven to be a valuable recruiting tool in the past so it will be interesting to see how Hilliman feels after attending.

Jalen Brown - WR - Mountain Pointe High School (Phoenix, AZ) 2014  I haven't personally spoken with Jalen but I have seen his name reported in many places that he will be in Ann Arbor either tomorrow or Tuesday.  Brown has a very impressive offer list and his visit obviously means his interest in Michigan is legitimate, but as is the norm, pulling kids from the west coast can prove difficult.  Getting him on campus could prove huge.

Dre Brown - RB - DeKalb High School (DeKalb, IL) 2015  Brown is another talented athlete that could play multiple positions in college but right now the Michigan coaches see him as a running back.  Brown told me he will be on campus Wednesday the 12th.  He currently holds offers from Illinois as well as MAC schools Toledo, Northern Illinois, and Kent State, a list that is sure to grow as he continues his career.

Jacques Patrick - RB - Timber Creek High School (Orlando, FL) 2015  Patrick is the most coveted running back in the class of 2015 with a whopping 40 offers!  I give Michigan a very slim chance in actually landing him but he did tell me that he's interested enough in the Wolverines to visit this Thursday.  Patrick is the exact type of running back that the Michigan coaches want for their system and getting him to Ann Arbor is a step in the right direction.

Jashon Cornell - DE - Cretin-Durham Hall High School (Saint Paul, MN) 2015  As a rising junior, Cornell is sitting on 20 offers already from some of the big boys in college football.  Cornell told me today that he will stop in and chat with Coach Hoke on Thursday, participate in the Sound Mind Sound Body camp, and then will officially, unofficially visit campus on Saturday.  Cornell will be in Ann Arbor for the first time this week and while he doesn't know exactly what his visit holds for him, he's excited to be going.

Stanley Norman - CB - Culver City High School (Culver City, CA) 2015  Stanley Norman is a name I haven't heard much about, but after watching his film it's easy to see why he's gaining attention from the Michigan coaching staff all the way from California.  His position coach, Khary Crump, spoke very highly of the rising junior's game.  "Yes he is visiting, he's a great kid.  Last year was his first year playing corner and he had 7 interceptions. Michigan is high on his list if he gets an offer during camp."  Turns out, Coach Krump is actually from Detroit and is a Michigan fan.  Sounds like Norman's recruitment could be an interesting one to watch.

*This list will be added to and subtracted from as necessary as the week progresses.  Keep it locked for updates.
